Oatmeal chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 3/4 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• chocolate chips - 1 pkg
• shortening - 1 c
• hot water - 1 tsp
• oatmeal - 2 c
• white sugar - 3/4 c

How to make oatmeal chip cookies:

Cream shortening; add sugars gradually. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add hot water, then add dry ingredients. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and blend well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes.
