Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- coconut - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- Add sugars, butter and eggs, beating well after each addition
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix oatmeal with boiling water; let stand 20 minutes. Add sugars, butter and eggs, beating well after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients to mixture, beating well. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:1 c. nuts1/2 c. brown sugar5 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. milk1 c. coconut1 tsp. vanilla Mix brown sugar, butter and milk over low heat until dissolved.
