Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick cooking oats - 1 c
- can milk - 1/4 c
- Cover and let stand 20 minutes
How to make oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oats with margarine. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Stir gently all together; bake in loaf pan 35 minutes at 350°.Topping:1 stick margarine1/4 c. can milk1/2 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Stir together and put on top of cake as it comes from the oven.
