Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 1
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- boiling water
- white sugar - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- quick cooking oats - 1 c
- milk or cream - 1/4 c
- Cream sugar and eggs
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix oats, water and margarine; let stand for 20 minutes. Cream sugar and eggs. Add oat mixture and dry ingredients. Mix well. Turn into greased, floured oblong pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until done.Topping:2 Tbsp. butter, softened1/4 c. milk or cream3/4 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1/2 c. chopped nuts Heat ingredients in saucepan on stove until butter and sugar melt.
