  • sugar
  • pkg - 1 3/4
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • cold water - 1 c
  • boiling water
  • can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
  • sliced fresh peaches - 4 c
  • 1 pt - 2 c
  • almond or vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  • 7-inch Angel Food cake - 1 item

How to make peach cream cake:

Glaze:1/2 c. sugar4 Tbsp. cornstarch1 1/2 c. boiling water1 (3 oz.) pkg. peach or strawberry gelatin Cut angel food cake into 1/2-inch slices. Arrange half of the slices on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish. In large bowl combine milk and water. Mix well and add pudding mix. Beat until well blended. Chill 5 minutes, add flavoring and then fold in whipped cream. Pour 1/2 of this mixture over cake slices. Arrange 2 cups peach slices on top. Repeat layers, ending with peach slices.

Fresh strawberries can be substituted.

Glaze: Cook sugar, cornstarch and boiling water until transparent. Remove from stove. Stir in gelatin. Chill. Pour glaze over peaches; chill 4 hours.
