Oatmeal cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• stick margarine - 1 item
• brown sugar - 1 c
• evaporated milk - 1/4 c
• coconut - 1/2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• boiling water
• sifted flour
• white sugar - 1 c
• quick-cooking oats - 1 c
• Let stand 20 minutes

How to make oatmeal cake:

Mix water, oats and margarine in large mixing bowl. Let stand 20 minutes. Add sugars, eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Topping:2 Tbsp. margarine1/4 c. evaporated milk1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. coconut1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped nuts Spread on cake while it is still hot.
