Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- coconut - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- sifted flour
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick-cooking oats - 1 c
- Let stand 20 minutes
How to make oatmeal cake:
Mix water, oats and margarine in large mixing bowl. Let stand 20 minutes. Add sugars, eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Topping:2 Tbsp. margarine1/4 c. evaporated milk1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. coconut1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped nuts Spread on cake while it is still hot.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
