Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- tsp baking powder - 1 item
- tsp vanilla - 1 item
- tsp cinnamon - 1 item
- tsp baking soda - 1 item
- c coconut - 1 item
- boiling water over 1 c
- Makes 1 loaf pan or 9 x 13 pan
- nuts, any kind - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Add to mixture. Makes 1 loaf pan or 9 x 13 pan. Will be thin. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until done.Topping:6 Tbsp melted butter2/3 c. brown sugar1/4 c. evaporated milk1 c. nuts, any kind1 c coconut1 tsp vanilla Mix together and pour on cake as soon as it comes from the oven.
