Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 1/4 c
- evaporated milk - 3/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- coconut - 3/4 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts3/4 c. coconut Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. margarine3/4 c. evaporated milk Beat eggs, butter or margarine, sugar and fruit cocktail together. Mix dry ingredients and add to fruit mix. Beat well. Pour into 13 x 9-inch cake pan.Combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle over cake mix. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
Combine glaze ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake. Cool before eating. Very good after a day.
