Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • evaporated milk - 3/4 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • coconut - 3/4 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • margarine - 1/2 c

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Topping:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts3/4 c. coconut Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. margarine3/4 c. evaporated milk Beat eggs, butter or margarine, sugar and fruit cocktail together. Mix dry ingredients and add to fruit mix. Beat well. Pour into 13 x 9-inch cake pan.

Combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle over cake mix. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

Combine glaze ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake. Cool before eating. Very good after a day.
