Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- sifted flour
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- Mix eggs, sugars and vanilla
How to make oatmeal cake:
Combine water, oatmeal and Crisco. Mix eggs, sugars and vanilla. Add to the oatmeal mixture. Mix the remaining ingredients by sifting. Add to the other mixture. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Spread with the topping while still hot.Topping:1 stick butter1 c. coconut2 egg yolks1 c. brown sugar1 1/2 c. chopped pecans1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix in order.
