Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- egg whites - 2 item
- nuts - 1 c
- melted shortening - 1 Tbsp
How to make nut bread:
Pour boiling water over sugar and soda and let cool. Then add shortening, flour, baking powder, salt and egg yolks. Fold in whites and nuts. Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Quick breads.
