Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • half & half - 3/4 c
  • slices bacon, chopped - 3 item
  • medium potatoes, chopped - 3 item
  • cans clams, minced or chopped - 3 item

How to make new england clam chowder:

Cook bacon; add clam juice and vegetables. Cook until potatoes are tender. Mix flour and milk to a paste and add. When heated through add clams, half & half, salt and pepper. Heat to a simmer. Let stand ten minutes and serve.
