New england clam chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- half & half - 3/4 c
- slices bacon, chopped - 3 item
- medium potatoes, chopped - 3 item
- cans clams, minced or chopped - 3 item
How to make new england clam chowder:
Cook bacon; add clam juice and vegetables. Cook until potatoes are tender. Mix flour and milk to a paste and add. When heated through add clams, half & half, salt and pepper. Heat to a simmer. Let stand ten minutes and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Clams.
