Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 c
- pkg - 3 oz
- flour
- Mushroom Filling:1 large onion, chopped fine
- mushrooms, chopped fine - 1/2 lb
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- freshly ground pepper - 1 item
- sour cream - 1/4 c
How to make mushroom turnovers:
Work until all dough is smooth.Mushroom Filling:1 large onion, chopped fine3 Tbsp. butter1/2 lb. mushrooms, chopped fine1/4 tsp. thyme1/2 tsp. salt freshly ground pepper2 Tbsp. flour1/4 c. sour cream Saute onions in butter. Add mushrooms; cook 3 minutes. Add seasonings; sprinkle with flour. Stir in sour cream. Cook until thick. Roll pastry out 1/8-inch thick. Cut in 3-inch rounds; drop 1/2 teaspoon filling in. Fold over; press edges with fork. Bake on ungreased sheet for 15 minutes at 425°. May be frozen before cooking.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Cheese, Mushroom.
