Ingredients/Components
- whole cloves - 20 item
- cup sugar - 1/2 item
- whole allspice - 20 item
- quarts sweet apple cider - 2 item
- 3 inch cinnamon sticks, cracked - 8 item
- Cinnamon sticks - 1 item
How to make mulled cider:
Combine cider, sugar, cracked cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice in large saucepan. Heat over very low heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved (do not boil). Remove from heat. Let stand several hours to let flavor develop. Strain cider. Return to saucepan. Heat just until hot. Serve garnished with cinnamon sticks. Yield: 2 quarts.Recipe categories: Fruit, Apple, Drinks.
