  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 t
  • salt - 1/2 t
  • light corn syrup
  • pecan halves - 1 c
  • butter, melted and cooled - 1 T

How to make mom's pecan pie:

Preheat oven to 400°. In medium mixing bowl, beat eggs lightly and add sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter and vanilla. Stir until well mixed. Spread pecans on bottom of 9-inch pie shell; cover with filling. Place in oven and reduce oven temperature down to 350°. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until filling is firm in the middle.
