Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1-1/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- cold water - 3 4
- Filling:3 eggs
- sugar - 2/3 c
- Dash salt - 1 item
- dark syrup OR 1 c - 1 c
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
How to make pecan pie:
Prepare pastry and roll out to fit pie plate.Filling:3 eggs2/3 c. sugar Dash salt1 c. dark syrup OR 1 c. Mrs. Butterworth's Syrup1/3 c. melted butter1 c. pecan halves For filling, beat eggs; add sugar, salt, syrup and butter; mix. Add pecans. Mix well and fill pie shell and place in 350 degree oven.
