  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 3 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 4 Tbsp
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • cloves - 1 tsp

How to make molasses cookies:

Cream sugar and shortening. Add molasses and egg. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Roll into small balls and roll in sugar. Bake on greased pan at 350° for 10 minutes.
