Moist pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour
- water - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- cooked mashed pumpkin - 2 c
How to make moist pumpkin bread:
Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in pumpkin and water. Mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves; mix well. Add creamed mixture. Fold in pecans. Cook at 350° for 1 hour or until done.
