Moist pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- all-purpose flour
- raisins - 2/3 c
- pecans - 1 c
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- cooked, mashed pumpkin - 2 c
How to make moist pumpkin bread:
Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs; mix well. Stir in pumpkin and water. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Add to creamed mixutre. Mix well. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350° in 2 well greased and floured loaf pans, 9 x 5 x 3-inches.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Vegetables.
