Ingredients/Components
- water
- gingersnaps - 25 item
- hard-boiled eggs, chopped - 3 item
- ground beef
- large onions, chopped - 2 item
- bottle Worcestershire sauce - 5 oz
- lemon, sliced thin - 1/2 item
- small bottle catsup - 1 item
How to make mock turtle soup:
Brown the beef and drain off the grease. Crush the gingersnaps. Put beef and snaps in hot water; let set 10 minutes. Add catsup, Worcestershire sauce and onions. Cook for 3 hours on low heat. Add lemon last hour and add eggs last 1/2 hour.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Ground beef, Beef.
