Mixed pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 3 c
- chopped onions - 4 c
- celery seed
- chopped cabbage - 4 c
- mustard seed
- turmeric - 1/2 Tbsp
- chopped green tomatoes - 4 c
- canning salt - 1/2 c
- hot peppers 1/2 red - 6 item
- bell peppers 1/2 red - 6 item
How to make mixed pickles:
Mix first 5 ingredients together, put in refrigerator with 1/2 cup canning salt sprinkled on top. Refrigerate overnight.Heat liquid ingredients with sugar. Add vegetables. Cook 5 minutes. Put into jars and seal while hot.
