Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 3 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 1/2 oz
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- plain flour
- canned milk - 1/4 1/3
- Add eggs and mix well
- sticks margarine, melted - 2 item
- cocoa or less - 1/3 c
How to make mississippi mud pie:
Cream the sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well. Sift flour, cocoa and salt together. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts.Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 35 minutes at 300°. Place marshmallows on top. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Cool cake 1 hour before icing.Icing:1 box powdered sugar1/3 c. cocoa (or less)2 sticks margarine, melted1/4 to 1/3 c. canned milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans Mix powdered sugar and cocoa. Add melted butter, milk and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add nuts and spread on cooled cake.
