Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 3 Tbsp
- pkg - 1/2 oz
- salt - 1/4 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- vanilla flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- nuts - 1 c
- plain flour
- margarine - 1 c
- canned milk - 1/4 c
- Sift flour, cocoa and salt; add to mixture
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt; add to mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla and nuts; mix well. Pour into greased oblong dish. Bake at 325° for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and place marshmallows on top. Return to oven until marshmallows melt.Icing:1 box powdered sugar2 sticks margarine1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring1/3 c. cocoa1/4 c. canned milk1 c. nuts Mix sugar and cocoa; mix with melted margarine.
