- water - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- pat butter - 1 item
- rice - 1 c
- garlic - 1 tsp
- can Mexican stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- cumin spice - 1 Tbsp
- onions and green peppers, sliced - 1 item
How to make mexican rice:
Brown rice in pan with butter; do not overcook. Add onions and green peppers. Mix cumin, garlic, salt and pepper in water thoroughly and add to rice. Then add stewed tomatoes and simmer until most of liquid is absorbed.Recipe categories: Side dish, Cheese, Rice.
