- hamburger meat - 1 lb
- chopped onion - 1 item
- can green chilies - 1 item
- can creamed corn - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1 item
- Cornbread Batter recipe follows - 1 item
- cornmeal
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Cornbread Batter:2 c. cornmeal1 c. flour2 tsp. baking powder1 egg1 tsp. salt3 Tbsp. sugar2 c. milk Brown meat and onion. Drain. Combine peppers, corn and cornbread.In a greased casserole dish, pour 1/2 of the batter. Top with meat, then cheese. Add remaining batter. Bake at 350° until done.
