- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- corn meal - 1 c
- can cream style corn - 1 item
- large onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- jalapeno peppers - 3 item
- ground meat or sausage - 1 lb
How to make mexican cornbread:
Fry meat about 10 minutes and drain. In separate bowl, mix corn meal, salt, soda, eggs, and milk; add corn and mix well. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a pan; add meat, onion, pepper, and cheese; next add the remaining batter over the meat mixture.
