Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • ground meat - 1/2 lb
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
  • bacon drippings - 1/2 c
  • corn meal - 1 c
  • 303 can cream-style corn
  • jalapeno peppers to please your family - 1 item

How to make mexican corn bread:

Grease a large skillet. Heat and sprinkle a layer of meat in skillet; saute and let it brown slightly. Drain. Pour in 1/2 of the batter, then meat, next onion and finally pepper. Pour remaining batter on top and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 350° oven.
