Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- ground meat - 1/2 lb
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- bacon drippings - 1/2 c
- corn meal - 1 c
- 303 can cream-style corn
- jalapeno peppers to please your family - 1 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Grease a large skillet. Heat and sprinkle a layer of meat in skillet; saute and let it brown slightly. Drain. Pour in 1/2 of the batter, then meat, next onion and finally pepper. Pour remaining batter on top and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 350° oven.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
