Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/3 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- ground beef - 2 lb
- grated Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
- large chopped onion - 1 item
- creamed corn - 1 c
- corn meal - 1 c
- hot peppers - 4 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Brown beef, add onions, peppers and cheese. Sift meal, salt and soda. Combine sifted mixture with beaten eggs, milk, oil and corn. Pour 1/2 bread mixture in a deep greased skillet or Corning Ware dish. Add meat mixture, top with other 1/2 of bread mixture.
