Mexican chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- hot water - 1 c
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- boneless chicken breast halves - 6 item
- packet Stove Top stuffing crumbs - 1 item
- margarine, cut in pieces - 2 Tbsp
- packet Stove Top stuffing mix vegetable seasoning - 1 item
How to make mexican chicken casserole:
Heat oven to 350°. Mix contents of vegetable seasoning packet, water and margarine in a 12 x 8-inch baking dish until margarine is melted. Stir in stuffing crumbs and 1/2 cup of the salsa. Place chicken over stuffing. Pour remaining 1 cup salsa over chicken. Cover with foil. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Remove foil. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
