Ingredients/Components

  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • shredded sharp cheese - 1/4 c
  • can yellow hominy, drained - 1 oz
  • cans tamales - 2 1/2
  • small can Vienna sausages, cut into thirds - 1 item

How to make mexicali casserole:

Remove wrappers from tamales and cut into thirds. Combine tamales, hominy, sausages and soup. Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes. As soon as the dish comes out of the oven, sprinkle with cheese and serve.
