Ingredients/Components

  • eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • 4 oz - 1 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • cottage cheese - 1/2 c
  • lean ground beef - 1 lb
  • jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms - 1 1/2
  • clove garlic, mashed - 1 item
  • can chopped spinach - 1 oz
  • cooked manicotti shells - 12 item

How to make meaty manicotti:

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan and set aside. Brown ground beef in skillet. Add onion and garlic. Saute until tender. Drain off excess fat. Remove from heat and add spinach, cottage cheese, eggs, salt and pepper. Mix well. Fill each shell with 1/4 cup meat mixture. Place filled shells in prepared baking pan. Pour spaghetti sauce evenly over shells. Sprinkle Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese over sauce. Bake 30 minutes.
