Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 4 Tbsp
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • dry mustard - 3/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • catsup - 1/2 c
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • onion, finely chopped - 1/4 c
  • dry bread crumbs - 1 c
  • celery, finely chopped - 1/4 c
  • sweet milk - 1/2 c

How to make meat loaf:

Soak crumbs in milk and 1/2 cup catsup until soft. Add eggs, onion, celery, seasonings and meat. Mix well and bake 30 minutes. Mix together 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 1/4 cup catsup and dry mustard. Cover meat loaf with this mixture. Bake 60 minutes longer.
