Marinated mushrooms
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- olive or vegetable oil - 1 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- wine vinegar - 1/3 c
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- mushrooms, whole or sliced - 1 lb
How to make marinated mushrooms:
Wash mushrooms quickly, dry immediately. Mix remaining ingredients together, add to the mushrooms, toss until all pieces are very well coated. Let stand at room temperature at least 4 hours. The mushrooms are never cooked.Serve with picks, cocktail accompaniment or as relish. Makes about 4 cups.
