Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- large eggs - 2 item
- chopped nuts, walnuts or pecans - 1/2 c
- flour measure after sifting - 3 c
- lemon juice, sprinkled over mangoes - 1 Tbsp
- diced, ripe mangoes - 1 c
How to make mango bread:
Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Add flour mixture alternately with the juicy mangoes. Fold in chopped nuts. Bake 1 hour in greased loaf pan at 375°.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Quick breads.
