Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 2 c
How to make macaroni and cheese:
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and place in a well buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Melt butter; stir in flour and blend well. Gradually add milk and cook over medium heat until thick. Add salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cups cheese, stirring to melt cheese. Gently mix sauce with macaroni; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Cheese, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
