Spinach cheese squares
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- minced onion
- Monterey Jack cheese, grated - 1 lb
- frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained - 2 pkg
How to make spinach cheese squares:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a 9 x 13-inch dish, melt butter in oven; remove. In a large bowl, beat eggs; add flour, milk and seasonings. Mix well and add cheese, spinach and onion. Pour into baking dish and bake 35 minutes. Cool for 45 minutes, cut into bite-size piecesTo freeze: Place on cookie sheet; when frozen, put into plastic bags.
To reheat: Bake at 325° for 12 minutes.
