Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 item
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- grated carrot - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped green onion - 1/4 c
- cloves minced garlic - 4 item
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
- lumpia wrappers - 1 item
- bean sprouts, chopped - 1 pkg
- shredded Chinese cabbage - 2 c
- raw shrimp, chopped small - 1/2 lb
How to make lumpia:
Saute pork, beef and onion and drain. Add shrimp and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and add eggs, carrot, green onion, cabbage, garlic, sprouts and soy sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Let mixture cool. Put heaping tablespoon of filling on each lumpia wrapper. Roll up, making small cylinder. Tuck ends in and seal with milk. Deep fry until brown. Serve with sweet and sour sauce for dipping.Note: Add a dash or two of hot sauce for "zing"!
