  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • lemon extract - 1 tsp

How to make lemon pound cake:

Cream butter and shortening and add sugar. Beat well and add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and lemon juice and lemon extract. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk, beating well. Bake in regular tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°. Use regular size tube pan. Don't preheat oven and don't peek!
