- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
How to make lemon pound cake:
Cream butter and shortening and add sugar. Beat well and add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and lemon juice and lemon extract. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk, beating well. Bake in regular tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°. Use regular size tube pan.
