- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
How to make virginia pound cake:
Cream together sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk. Beat until fluffy.
