  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1/4 c
  • hot water - 3 c
  • baked pie shell - 1 item
  • white bread crumbs soft, crust removed - 3 c
  • lemons, grated rind of 2 and juice from all 3 - 3 item

How to make lemon pie:

In a large bowl, put the water, bread crumbs and butter; let set until soft, then beat with mixer until smooth. Add this to the other ingredients in a large saucepan and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour into the baked pie shell and top with meringue or whipped topping.
