Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- chopped Macadamia nuts - 1/2 c
- hot water - 3/4 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- dark molasses - 3/4 c
- milk, scalded - 2 c
- baked 8-inch pie shell - 1 item
- pastry crust - 1 item
How to make macadamia nut pie:
Mix molasses with hot water, blending well. Mix flour, sugar and soda. Cut in butter to form coarse crumbs. Line pie dish with pastry. Pour in 1/3 of molasses mixture. Top with crumb mixture.
