- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- juice of 1 lemon
- lemon rind, grated - 1 item
How to make lemon bread:
Mix all and let stand 20 minutes. Pour into 2 small or 1 large greased and floured loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice, pour over bread while warm for glaze.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
