Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • low-fat cottage cheese - 3 c
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 2 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 3/4 c
  • tomato paste
  • Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 lb
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • lasagne noodles - 8 oz

How to make lasagne:

Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic. Drain grease. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano and salt. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°. Cook lasagne noodles. Mix parsley flakes, eggs, cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese together. In a 9 x 13-inch baking pan, layer noodles, meat and cheese mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 45 minutes.
