  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 1
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • oregano
  • basil - 2 tsp
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese - 4 c
  • cans tomato paste - 2 oz
  • Italian sausage - 1 lb
  • lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
  • ground chuck
  • can crushed tomatoes - 1 oz
  • fennel - 1/2 tsp
  • container Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 (15
  • to 3 cloves crushed garlic - 2 item

How to make lasagna:

Prepare noodles according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water. Brown Italian sausage, ground chuck, onion and garlic; drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and spices.

In separate bowl, mix Ricotta or cottage cheese with beaten egg, parsley and salt. Put cup of sauce on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Alternate noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture and Mozzarella cheese. Should make 3 layers. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes covered. Uncover and bake 20 more minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Serve.
