Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 1
- Parmesan cheese - 1 c
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- oregano
- basil - 2 tsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 4 c
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- Italian sausage - 1 lb
- lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
- ground chuck
- can crushed tomatoes - 1 oz
- fennel - 1/2 tsp
- container Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 (15
- to 3 cloves crushed garlic - 2 item
How to make lasagna:
Prepare noodles according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water. Brown Italian sausage, ground chuck, onion and garlic; drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and spices.In separate bowl, mix Ricotta or cottage cheese with beaten egg, parsley and salt. Put cup of sauce on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Alternate noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture and Mozzarella cheese. Should make 3 layers. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes covered. Uncover and bake 20 more minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Serve.
