- salt per qt - 1 Tbsp
- sugar per qt - 1 tsp
- prepared cabbage - 1 item
- vinegar per qt - 3 tsp
How to make kraut:
Cover cabbage with hot spigot water for 1 hour (not boiling); drain and pack into hot jars. Add the vinegar, salt and sugar. Cover with boiling water. Using hot lids, seal. Makes delicious kraut.Recipe categories: < 30 mins, Side dish, Vegetables.
