Key lime pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 4 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
- sweetened condensed milk - 1 can
- Key lime juice - 1/2 c
How to make key lime pie:
Mix first 3 ingredients well until mixture thickens. Reserve egg whites for meringue.Beat 1 egg white until stiff. Fold into lime mixture. Pour into baked pie shell.
Beat 3 egg whites and gradually add sugar and cream of tartar. Spread over filling, forming peaks and bake until egg whites are lightly browned at 350°.
