Kentucky pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/3 tsp
- melted margarine - 1/3 c
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- whole eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- white corn sugar - 1 c
- shelled whole pecans heaping - 1 c
How to make kentucky pecan pie:
Combine corn syrup, sugar, salt, margarine and vanilla and mix well. Add slightly beaten eggs. Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle pecans over all. Bake in preheated 350° oven for approximately 45 minutes. When cool, you may top with whipped cream or ice cream, but nothing tops this!Note: This was served at Phoenix Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky and the pastry chef gave permission to share this recipe.
