Japanese chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- toasted slivered almonds - 2 oz
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- sesame seed - 2 Tbsp
- chopped cooked chicken - 2 c
- to 3 green onions, sliced - 2 item
- small cabbage, cut in 1/2 to 3/4-inch pieces - 1 item
- La Choy Oodles of Noodles, broken up - 1 pkg
How to make japanese chicken salad:
Mix together chicken, sesame seed, almonds, cabbage, noodles, onions and water chestnuts. Mix well. Mix together oil, "Oodles of Noodles" seasoning, salt, pepper, vinegar and sugar. Mix well and pour over salad. Marinate overnight. It gets better after 2 to 3 days. Serve with soy sauce.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Time to make, Salads.
