- butter - 3 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- jam - 4 c
- butter or Crisco - 1 c
- water or sweet milk - 1 c
- every kind of spice, except cloves - 2 tsp
How to make jam cake:
Icing for Jam Cake:2 c. sugar1 c. milk3 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt Cream butter and sugar. Beat in 6 eggs. Add flour, baking powder and soda, sifted together. Add the water, salt, spices, jam and vanilla; beat well. Makes 3Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Grains.
