  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • butter or margarine - 3/4 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • sour milk - 1 c
  • thick jam - 1 c

How to make jam cake:

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well. Combine jam and buttermilk. Add alternately to creamed mixture with sifted dry ingredients. Fold in jam. Pour into well-greased tube pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until well done.
