Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- butter or margarine - 3/4 c
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- sour milk - 1 c
- thick jam - 1 c
How to make jam cake:
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well. Combine jam and buttermilk. Add alternately to creamed mixture with sifted dry ingredients. Fold in jam. Pour into well-greased tube pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until well done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Grains.
