Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted all-purpose flour - 2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- can coconut - 1 1/2
- egg whites, beaten - 5 item
- Add egg yolks one at a time
How to make italian creme cake:
Cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time. Mix together buttermilk and soda. Add flour to creamed mixture with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour. Fold in vanilla, pecans, coconut and beaten egg whites. Bake inRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
